The peculiarity of this solution – first example of "convergence" – is the handling of fixed network message to / from mobile and other fixed networks, in a very intuitive way, even as far as it concerns the telephones numbers' format.
Type of handled messages : Fixed (ETSI UBS1 and UBS2 protocols) to/from Fixed or Mobile, to/from e-mail, to FAX.
The MMS service is fully compliant to the MMS specs as initially defined by the OMA and 3GPP, then endorsed by the F-MMS Forum and ETSI.
It provides all the features including the networked MMS "personal box", the album and the Compose function.
The sender is enabled to manage the notify and privacy mechanisms.
The availability of the WEB access mode extends its exploitation to Internet Users / applications.

CO POTS Splitter
In some broadband networks' configurations the POTS Splitter function is located near to the DSLAM, but the trend is to locate it closer to the Main Distribution Frame (MDF/IDF).
The URMET solution addresses the need to cable the PSTN Exchange back to the DISLAM, with considerable time and cost saving gaining flexibility in each subscriber loop handling.
This solution looks mandatory where the loops and/or the PSTN Exchange and/or the broadband services belongs to / are operated by diverse organizations / Companies (shared access).

URMET SPMX : Copper pairs / loops Pre / Post-certification System for broadband delivery
The SPMX Measurement Unit exploits the "single ended" measurement techniques while facilitates the "double ended" measurement techniques where required.
The copper pair is characterized on the Exchange side by applying various multi-frequency measurement methods.
In most cases the measurements' accuracy is close to the "double ended" plus the results are available in real time.
The SPMX Server can manage al the Measurement Units in a County / Region / Operator and, jointly with the Copper Pairs Selector and the SPMX WEB Client, largely improves the capability to diagnostic / solve risen problems in real time and without the need to send people in the filed.
